Pediatric (Pedi) Tour - An organized program and tour of the hospital for early elementary school classes. Scheduled through the school system.

Speakers Bureau - Provided by Journey...Partnership for End of Life Issues, offers program topics and presenters on a number of issues. Suggested topics:

  • How do I accept a loved one's death?
    Grief is not forgetting but remembering with less pain. The needs of a family continue after the death. There are ways to ease the stress of bereavement.

Safe Sitter - a medically-accurate program that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children.

Safe Sitters learn:

  • Nurturing childcare techniques
  • Basic life saving skills
  • Safety precautions to prevent accidents
  • How & when to summon help
  • Tips on basic child care
  • The business of babysitting

SAFE KIDS Cleveland County - Serving as the host agency CRMC joins law enforcement officers, fire and rescue providers, other health and medical professionals, educators, civic leaders, business leaders, and others who are dedicated to preventing accidental injuries to children ages 14 and under.

The leading causes of accidental injuries to children are in five areas:

  • Motor vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrian
  • Fires, burns, and scalds
  • Choking and strangulation
  • Poisoning
  • Drowning

In Cleveland County many programs and community events operate under Safe Kids including Kid Tips, Risk Watch, child passenger seat checks, bike rodeos, The Safety Zone at the Cleveland County Fair and many others.
